About The Position

This position is Seasonal and is assigned as needed; the shift schedule is subject to change with minimal notice. Keeneland Parking Associates shall receive adequate resources, and proper tools and training needed to perform job related tasks.

Position Description - Parking Associate (Part Time)

Directs, facilitates movement, and controls restricted and general parking during Race Meetings, Sales Auctions, and additional Special Events on Keeneland Grounds. Serves in a part-time employment capacity. Does not have authority to carry a firearm.

The “Parking Associate” role encompasses tasks during Race Meetings, Sales Auctions, Special Events, and additional activities throughout each calendar year to include, but not limited to, the following:

Parking Facilitation
Traffic Control & Direction
Valet Traffic Control
Horse Crossing Guard Assignment
Golf Cart Operator (to & from designated handicap parking areas)

Requirements

• Must have the ability to read, understand, and communicate with others.
• This position may require the employee to be on their feet in various environments for extended periods.
• Must possess Kentucky Driver’s License, and be able to attain a Kentucky Horse Racing License, (Keeneland shall provide).
• Golf cart operators are required, per Keeneland policy, to possess a valid Kentucky Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provides parking direction to our patrons during racing, sales and general events.
• Assists patrons with mobility restrictions in moving from the parking areas to the admissions gates
• Provides general information to our patrons attending events.
