About The Position

This is maintenance and personal services work in providing services to park users at a state park or day use area. Work may also include: Cleaning and general maintenance of picnic sites and/or campsites Preserving hiking trails and trail heads Maintaining boat launch facilities Enforcing Park rules and regulations to ensure the safety of the environment, facilities, and park users Operating specialized equipment such as backhoes, front-end loaders, and tractors in order to maintain the park areas Meeting and greeting the public and providing information concerning public lands facilities and rules, historical data, and other related information in order to advise the public Directing and overseeing the activities of a small crew of maintenance and operations personnel For questions specific to the position, please contact the Park Manager, Haylee Parsons, at (207) 371-2303 or by e-mail at [email protected]

Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience in park maintenance and operation or equivalent.
  • Valid Class C Maine motor vehicle operator’s license.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or have legal authority to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Directing and overseeing the activities of a small crew of maintenance and operations personnel
