About The Position

This is maintenance and personal services work at boat launching facilities in central and southern Maine, enforcing boating facility rules and regulations, patrolling facilities, reporting problems and malfunctions, and mowing lawns. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance and repair on various elements of the boat site; boat launching concrete ramps, floats, access drives, parking areas, lawns, pathways and cleaning toilet facilities to ensure they are in a safe, clean and attractive condition. Maintain facility buildings and equipment, paint buildings, pavement striping with powered spraying equipment, light carpentry, and shingle roofs. The person in this position must be able to operate a range of equipment including vehicles, tractors, mowers, and other power and hand tools safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Education, training, and/or experience in park operations or maintenance, or another closely related field.
  • Valid Class C Maine motor vehicle operator’s license.
