About The Position
This position is located at Lake Claiborne State Park in Homer, LA. The purpose of this position is to enforce all applicable laws on a state park and to educate the public on their role in the protection of natural resources, cultural, and historic resources. The position is in a Career Progression Group up to a Park Ranger 2. As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Park Ranger 1 or 2 based on the qualifications of the selected applicant. The minimum rate of pay is $17.36/hour for this position, depending on experience. If offered the position, the candidate must be able to drive to Baton Rouge to submit a background check.
