About The Position

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is currently seeking applicants for Park Police Officer Candidate positions. The Park Police secure and protect over 27,000 acres of park property in Prince George's County, on a 24-hour basis. Requirements

• No previous experience in law enforcement is required.
• Graduation from high school or high school equivalency certificate recognized by the Maryland State Board of Education.
• Must pass the Commission's written Police Officer Candidate examination.
• Must pass an oral interview conducted by a Police Assessment board.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Secure and protect park property in Prince George's County.
• Participate in the written examination and agility test.
• Complete a background investigation and medical examination.
• Attend orientation and complete a personal history statement.
