About The Position

The Park Manager (Superintendent) at the Emmett Till & Mamie Till-Mobley National Monument in Sumner, MS, is responsible for overseeing the preservation, interpretation, maintenance, administration, and development of the park sites across two states. This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of staff, volunteers, and visitors while managing complex federal ownership and coordinating with various government agencies and non-profits.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
• Experience equivalent to GS-13 level in federal service or equivalent in public/private sector.
• Specialized experience in managing park activities, natural resource protection, and visitor interpretation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in recreation management or wildlife management.
• Knowledge of law enforcement related to park management.
• Experience in project management and team accountability.
