About The Position
Under the general direction of the Deputy Regional Director, or the Regional Admin Team, the Park Manager 2 is responsible for all aspects of the management of Marsha P. Johnson State Park including park operations, maintenance, security and event programming. The Park Manager 2 supervises, directs, manages, and coordinates various levels of staff in various areas; ensuring the safe operations of the park and oversees all aspects of seasonal hiring at the Park. The Park Manager 2 develops and implements programs and/or services for the public. The incumbent handles the logistical support, organization and planning of programming and special events throughout the park, reserves space or equipment to be used in such programs and coordinates as needed directly with outside organizations, the regional EE team and various individuals to assure the success of such programming. The incumbent will work closely with volunteers, the community, and vendors to assure NYS Parks' mission is always met.
