About The Position
The Park Manager 2, SG-21 supervises programs and operations within Harriman State Park under the direction of the Park Manager 3, SG-23. The incumbent is responsible for assigning, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating the effectiveness of park staff. They inspect and ensure the readiness and availability of park equipment and facilities, oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the park's grounds, and assist in managing the operations and safety of a large swimming beach. The role also involves planning and budgeting for equipment, repairs, and supplies, coordinating with higher-level management, and completing necessary purchasing requests. The Park Manager 2 works closely with volunteers, the community, and vendors to ensure the mission of NYS Parks is met.
