Summary of the Position: The Maintenance Tech IV performs advanced maintenance and repair tasks for public infrastructure, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, HVAC systems, and playground equipment. This position also includes supervising maintenance crews, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing specialized equipment for park and facility upkeep. Job Description: Perform advanced carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and masonry work on public facilities. Ensure compliance with National Playground Safety Standards, including inspections and repairs of playground equipment. Perform high-level repairs to HVAC systems and maintain air quality and climate control in facilities. Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex irrigation control systems. Provide guidance to lower-level maintenance technicians on specialized tasks and projects. Operate heavy equipment, such as excavators and skid steer loaders, for park and facility construction and maintenance. Maintain and repair aquatic facility systems, including pools and splash pads. Attention to detail and ability to maintain organized records of inspections and repairs. Perform seasonal duties, including winterization of park facilities. Assist with the removal of snow and debris from parks and job sites. Provide direction and oversight to ensure efficient and effective completion of maintenance projects. Perform other related duties as required or directed.
