As a Park Campground Host volunteer, you are donating your time to serve as a “live-in” volunteer at Bunker Hills/Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Campground during the period of late April through mid-October. The primary responsibility is to provide excellent guest services by assisting campers in answering questions and explaining rules that apply to them in a professional and helpful manner. Hosts should be familiar with the campground rules and the reasoning behind them. It is expected that campground hosts will maintain positive, collaborative, and professional interactions with all Parks Department team members, in addition to the public. This position is a very important part of our customer service team. Campground hosts are provided with a free site in return for services provided. Campground hosts’ camping units and equipment may remain on-site during the full time of the host agreement. Hosts will be provided with annual vehicle entry permits for their vehicles.
