About The Position

Under general supervision, performs collection booth duties, public bathroom general upkeep and litter pick-up at Shepard Park & Fischer Park.
Hours/Shifts will vary based on staffing needs. Hours range between 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Park hours reduced in the Fall/Winter months. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
• Must have basic math skills including handling cash and reconciling daily deposits.
• Graduation from high school and any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
• Valid Florida Driver’s license, Class E, with a clean driving record.
• Weekend work is required.
• Selected applicant will have background/credit check done.

Responsibilities

• Assists lead attendant performing daily maintenance on the automated entrance devices.
• Inspects parks grounds, picnic areas, parking lots, dune crossovers and restrooms to ensure that park is clean and there are no hazards for visitors.
• Collects parking fees from the park visitors during peak hours.
• Monitors Shepherd and Fischer parking areas to control and oversee parking of vehicles.
• Inspects and, as necessary, cleans bathroom and other guest facilities for two City parks.
• Submits all gate receipts and supporting documentation as required by standard operating procedures.
• Assists the public by giving directions or general information.
• Acts as courier for City money collected from parking machines.
• Performs some routine clerical duties such as issuing receipts and deriving reports.
