About The Position

The Park and Play Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating recreational activities and programs for the Parks and Recreation Department during the summer season. This role involves managing staff, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and providing a positive experience for participants in various park activities.

Requirements

• Experience in recreation management or a related field.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Experience working with children and families in a recreational setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate recreational activities and programs for children and families.
• Manage and train seasonal staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities and events.
• Plan and implement engaging programs that meet the needs of the community.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make adjustments as necessary.
