About The Position
The Park Aide (Seasonal) position at Diablo Range District / Mount Diablo State Park involves working under the supervision of the Supervising Ranger or field Rangers. The role includes responsibilities such as collecting and accounting for park fees, selling park passes, preparing bank deposits, registering campers, compiling daily attendance figures, answering questions, and providing information on park rules and regulations. The position requires performing opening and closing procedures for the shift location and delivering excellent customer service to all visitors. This is an entry-level position in state parks, providing an opportunity to learn about Mount Diablo. Candidates must be available to work holidays, weekends, and special events. The position may work up to 1500 hours within 12 consecutive months and is not telework eligible. The selected candidate must undergo a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
