About The Position

The Parish Coordinator of Adult ‘Disciple Maker’ Ministry will serve in adult faith formation, education, and integration of our vibrant campus ministry culture & environment serving University of Florida students and staff. This role is pivotal in fostering and deepening relationship with Christ through OCIA and Adult Confirmation Teams, as well as working with our Parish Life Coordinator bringing to life and guiding small groups and bible studies toward a vibrant parish of missionary disciples.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Theology, Religious Education, Pastoral ministry or related field preferred.
  • Evidence of theological training and formation suitable for ministry, including some formal theology coursework (BA or MA level).
  • Catholic in good standing, having received all the sacraments of initiation.
  • One to three years of experience in college campus ministry , young adult faith formation, youth ministry, or education in a Catholic context
  • Willingness to acquire required Diocesan Certifications.
  • Understanding of Catholic doctrine and evangelization techniques.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated to inspire and empower parishioners to share their faith confidently.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, vendors, employees, and the public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, when necessary, and ability to travel and drive one's own vehicle to various diocesan locations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in College Campus Ministry, faith formation, evangelization, or student parish leadership.
  • Reasonably familiar with digital tools, social media, and online engagement strategies

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the OCIA and Adult Confirmation Teams in continuing development and implementation.
  • Oversee engaging faith formation programs such as Bible studies, prayer groups, and retreats.
  • Cultivate a culture of ongoing spiritual development and active participation in parish life.
  • Create and promote evangelization programs, training parishioners to confidently share their faith and become evangelists.
  • Support parishioners in becoming confident witnesses and hosts of faith in their daily lives and community.
  • Partner with priests, staff, and volunteers to ensure faith sharing is central to parish life.
  • Promote faith formation and evangelization activities through parish bulletins, social media, website, and personal invitations.
  • Build and sustain relationships with parishioners to encourage participation and faith-sharing opportunities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of faith formation and evangelization programs, seeking feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Develop innovative strategies to deepen faith and expand evangelization efforts in response to community needs.
