Utilizing the PAT Foundational Curriculum in culturally sensitive ways, the parent educator partners, facilitates, and reflects with families. The role involves engaging in outreach and community collaborative initiatives, completing initial and annual family-centered assessments, developing and monitoring family goals, and providing personal visits focused on parent-child interaction and family well-being. Parent educators use the PAT Foundational curriculum with model fidelity, provide group connections for social interaction and knowledge sharing, conduct health reviews and developmental screenings, connect families to resources, and assist with transitions to other services like preschool or kindergarten. The position also requires maintaining and submitting all required family and program documentation, organizing supplies, participating in monthly reflective supervision and staff meetings, obtaining competency-based professional development, renewing parent educator certification annually, and participating in continuous quality improvement.
