Our Ravenswood program focuses on supporting families experience who are overcoming trauma, adversity, and cultural stressors. This position is an ideal fit for a candidate who is passionate about providing community-based mental health/wellness services to historically underresourced communities. The individual has experience and the ability to collaborate effectively with mental health professionals in service of their coaching responsibilities. In addition, a successful candidate is passionate about providing services to populations that are primarily bilingual and bicultural. The Parent Wellness Coach Manager plays a critical role in strengthening the connection between families, schools, and community through team leadership, staff development, and direct service. This position is responsible for designing, launching, and sustaining a parent focused wellness and coaching program that empowers caregivers, improves family engagement, and supports positive student outcomes. The Parent Wellness Coach Manager partners closely with parents, caregivers, school staff, and community providers to ensure families feel supported, informed, and connected. Through individual and group coaching, program development, and relationship building, the coach helps parents identify strengths, set meaningful goals, and navigate challenges related to their child’s education, health, and overall family wellbeing. This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable building innovative programs, working in evolving environments, and serving as a trusted bridge between school systems and families. This is a Fixed Term – 4-year contract.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct service experience supporting parents and families who have experienced trauma and/or crisis (e.g., housing instability, domestic violence, financial stress)
  • Demonstrated experience building or launching new programs while supporting existing services
  • Strong knowledge of community-based resources available to families

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Wellness Coach or similar coaching credential
  • Background in social work, public health, education, psychology, community development, or related fields
  • Prior experience leading and managing people and programs

Responsibilities

  • Parent Coaching & Family Support Provide individual (1:1) and group - based wellness coaching to parents and caregivers using a strength - based, culturally responsive approach.
  • Co c reate individualized Parent Growth Plans aligned with family goals and student learning plans , inclusive of parent strategies appropriate at different stages of child development .
  • Support parents in navigating challenges related to education, mental health, housing, employment, childcare, healthcare, and family stability.
  • Respond to family crises with empathy and appropriate resource connection, helping mitigate impact year-round .
  • School–Family Partnership Serve as a key liaison between families, schools and community resources , fostering strong, trusting relationships with parents, educators, and school staff.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, clinicians, and other stakeholders to support family engagement and student success.
  • Help align parent goals with student academic, social emotional, and behavioral goals.
  • Program Development and Innovation Design, build, and implement a parent wellness and coaching program from the ground up, including curriculum, workflows, and engagement strategies.
  • Develop and deliver weekly programming to cohorts of caregivers and facilitate workshops, support groups, and community building activities, focused on adults and their needs.
  • Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and adapt programming based on family feedback and outcomes.
  • Serve as an innovator for change by identifying gaps, proposing sustainable solutions, and helping evolve the family support model, in collaboration with CHC leadership teams.
  • Team Management and Development Recruit, onboard, supervise, and retain Parent Wellness Coaches.
  • Provide regular one-on-one supervision,and performance evaluations.
  • Serve as a facilitator for parent coach reflective groups and other staff meetings.
  • Deliver coaching, mentoring, and professional development to support coach effectiveness and growth.
  • Address performance issues promptly and support improvement plans when needed.
  • Outreach & Community Engagement Recruit parents and families into programming through school partnerships, community outreach, presentations, and relationship building.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations and service providers.
  • Connect families to appropriate internal and external resources.
  • Documentation & Collaboration Maintain thorough, timely , and organized documentation of coaching sessions, outreach efforts, and participant progress.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate across departments to ensure coordinated care.
  • Provide regular feedback to leadership regarding parent needs, program strengths, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
