The Parent to Parent Program Facilitator will oversee the NICU Family Centered initiatives and activities developed within the NICU committees to ensure a successful Parent to Parent program that aligns with Family Centered Care principles in the CFH NICU, Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative, and Vermont Oxford Network quality improvement recommendations. Responsibilities
- Manages NICU Family Centered Care initiatives/activities developed within the NICU committees.
- Attends required CFH training sessions.
- Respect family choices, values, beliefs, and cultures.
- Comply with Infection Control policies and procedures and HIPAA.
- Actively participates as a front-line example of extra-ordinary customer service.
- Respect and protect the confidentiality of patients and families.
- Serves as on-site resource and support for families and staff.
- Round on NICU families and parents.
- Lead the Parent Support group meetings.
- Connect patients and families with appropriate hospital support and resources.
- Function as a liaison among patients, families, and staff to facilitate customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate communication among families and health care members to promote safety and quality and to provide a seamless patient experience.
- Assist with policy review and project implementation for NICU quality improvement.
- Participate in Vermont Oxford Network (VON) committees and conferences.
