About The Position

This position works to increase parent and community involvement and communication in schools by working with the school's administration and utilizing community resources. Outreach Coordinator's goal is to create a supportive environment for the students to excel in their education. This position is also responsible for coordinating and overseeing the donation intake and distribution process in the Community Partnership School related to the food pantry and community resource center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, human services, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in education and/or community outreach.
  • Experience advocating for children and parents, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Experience building community relationships and hosting workshops.
  • Valid Florida driver's license with reliable transportation and insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an outreach plan to engage families in campus and community activities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute activities in collaboration with school leadership.
  • Identify and support community action groups and influential centers.
  • Assist the Director in engaging parents and community stakeholders.
  • Execute local marketing, awareness campaigns, and events.
  • Provide recommendations to improve community engagement and visibility.
  • Develop and deliver outreach presentations for new and existing opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate data on parent and community engagement.
  • Build relationships with school leadership and staff.
  • Develop and maintain a welcoming Parent Resource Center.
  • Enhance outreach and create a resource list for parents and students.
  • Deliver programs to promote parent participation and student success.
  • Liaise with school personnel to align goals and services.
  • Coordinate educational opportunities to boost student achievement and partnerships.
  • Engage parents in school activities to support student and staff success.
  • Assist in overcoming language barriers during school activities and visits.
  • Conduct home visits and calls to identify parent needs.
  • Create programs to engage new parents and students.
  • Prepare documentation for activities and information sharing.
  • Participate in quality improvement processes.
  • Serve as the entry point for students, parents, and community members seeking resources.
  • Use the data management system for documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage donation logistics and inventory.
  • Assist with Pack-A-Sack program referrals, distribution, and data collection.
  • Manage the food pantry and community resource center.
  • Coordinate academic, cultural, and recreational programming.
  • Maintain participant logs and required paperwork.
  • Ensure accurate distribution of the feeding/snack program.
  • Submit required documents, such as attendance and snack counts, on time.
  • Establish partnerships and communication with community organizations and school staff.
  • Manage contracts and data-sharing agreements with providers.
  • Maintain files, records, and program statistics; prepare reports as needed.
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers for after-school programs.
  • Respect and understand diverse economic, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in daily operations and teamwork.
  • Communicate professionally with external agencies, parents, and organizations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Proficiency in creating Word and Excel documents.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
