About The Position

We are seeking a Parent Aid to join our team. Hourly Range: $15.00 - $17.60 Your role is responsible for providing support services to parents and families to help strengthen relationships and reunify parents and children. This position helps to develop trusting, nurturing, and supportive relationships with families through short- and long-term intervention using various social work and educational methods, including individual, and/or group family support, and supervised visitation.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working with children and families and the following:
High school diploma / GED, required
At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening
A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Supervises visitation between parents and children in foster care in and around Columbia, MO in an office or community setting
Engage families through a strength-based approach that encourages the client to see their own strengths and make self-directed efforts at change
May transport families as necessary
Demonstrates a willingness to work a non-structured flexible schedule with may include evenings and weekends.
