About The Position

Fastenal is seeking energetic, team-oriented individuals for a part-time position in their distribution center. As a Parcel Freight employee, you will facilitate the movement of products, packaging, manifesting, and shipping customer orders. This entry-level role offers a flexible schedule after onboarding and training, emphasizing a commitment to environmental protection and workplace safety.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or over
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
• Ability to lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

• Packaging, manifesting and shipping customer orders
• Weighing, sorting and stacking product
• Using a computer to perform tasks
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
