As a Paratransit Quality Control Specialist, you'll help keep our fleet fueled, clean, and safe-ensuring our vehicles are ready to serve the community every day. This entry-level position provides exposure to a professional maintenance shop environment, allowing you to gain real-world experience, build relationships with mechanics and shop leadership, and open doors to future opportunities such as Mechanic, Maintenance Supervisor, or Paratransit Driver. Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Reliable, safety-minded, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to bend, kneel, and stand for long periods
  • Flexible to work weekends, holidays, or extended hours as needed
  • Interested in learning and growing within the transportation or automotive industry
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.

Responsibilities

  • Fuel & Fluids: Fuel all paratransit vehicles and service trucks; check and top off fluid levels (oil, coolant, transmission, washer fluid, etc.)
  • Vehicle Quality: Inspect vehicles for damage during fueling, check tire pressure, and report issues to the shop
  • Cleanliness: Clean and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors to meet fleet standards
  • Fleet & Facility Support: Reposition vehicles in the yard to support dispatch operations; assist with minor maintenance tasks such as seat repairs, lamp replacements, or mirror adjustments
  • Parts & Records: Maintain accurate fuel logs, inventory records, and variance reports
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all PPE, environmental, and safety protocols, including spill response procedures
  • Facility Care: Support yard organization, building upkeep, and seasonal outdoor maintenance
