About The Position
As a Paratransit Driver at First Student, you will be responsible for safely operating a specialized vehicle to transport disabled passengers to their desired destinations. This role requires providing excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, securing mobility devices, and ensuring their comfort throughout the ride. You will follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining strict adherence to traffic rules and regulations. It is essential to exhibit exceptional patience, understanding, and empathy towards passengers, ensuring their needs are met with utmost care. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and any events that may occur during your shift. A two-week paid training program will be provided to prepare you for service.
