About The Position

Allen Brook School (ABS) seeks a full-time, energetic behavior specialist paraeducator to join our special education team. Our team is seeking one individual to support our students. We are looking for a skilled, caring individual to provide intensive support in the areas of multi-layered curriculum or curriculum overlapping, communication, behavior, and activities of daily living across school settings. Candidates will be an advocate of inclusive education, problem-solver and strong collaborator, and a positive team member. Ability to promote child growth and foster independence and a willingness to learn are essential.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• An understanding of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Demonstrate the ability to build relationships and rapport with students and school teams

Responsibilities

• Direct, adjust, or develop elements of student instructional and behavioral plan
• Foster independence so that student can fully participate in school activities
• Collect, maintain, and interpret data
• Integrate instructional, behavioral, and communication interventions into the classroom
