About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to provide individualized, one-on-one support to a high-needs student within a structured school environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, strong behavioral support skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff to promote a safe and productive learning experience.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Paraprofessional, Behavior Technician, or similar role in a school setting
• Strong behavioral management and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with students requiring additional support
• Updated resume required
• Completion of Paraprofessional Skills Checklist required

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with high-needs or special education students
• Familiarity with IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct one-on-one support to a high-needs student
• Assist with implementing behavioral intervention strategies and classroom management techniques
• Support the student’s academic, social, and emotional development
• Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and school administrators
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and/or behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as directed
• Monitor, track, and document student progress and behavior
• Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment
• Assist with classroom activities, routines, and transitions
