About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Paraprofessional/Teaching Assistant (approximately 37.5 hours per week) to support elementary school students in the Philadelphia, PA area. Eligible candidates must meet one of the following requirements: at least 60 college credits, an Associate's degree, or a Child Development/Paraprofessional Certificate. Requirements

• Must have one of the following: Associate’s degree 60 college credits Paraprofessional Certification
• Must have up-to-date clearances (from within one year) FBI Fingerprints PA Criminal Background Clearance PA Child Abuse Clearance
• Must have a valid CPR/First Aid certificate
• Current TB Test and Physical

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with individuals with special needs and aggressive behaviors preferred

Responsibilities

• Support students individually and in small groups with academic tasks, lessons, and classroom activities
• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing instructional plans and accommodations
• Provide behavioral, social, and emotional support to help students remain engaged and successful
• Support students with special needs according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times
• Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and documentation as needed
• Communicate observations and student progress with teachers and school staff
