About The Position

Assist the Special Education teacher with classroom activities specifically designed to meet the individual needs of students.

Requirements

• Associates of Arts degree or two years of post secondary education (60 credit hours) from an accredited college/university or proof of passing score on ParaPro Test
• Valid Level One, AZ, IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Immunization Record (MMR) and Tuberculosis (TB) Test

Responsibilities

• Presents skills reinforcements or guides independent study activities to individuals or small groups of students as directed by the teacher
• Familiarizes self with instructional materials to be used and learns how to use them properly
• Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students
• Perform duties or requirements that are outlined in a students Individual Education Plan (IEP)
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Principal/Administrator of Special Programs
