About The Position

The position involves assisting students with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines. The individual will help students follow a strict schedule and maintain their safety while school is in session. Additionally, the role includes assisting the teacher with miscellaneous classroom tasks and supporting both students and the teacher to ensure the success of each student in meeting their IEP goals. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• MUST hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents, and students.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Some general office skills.

Responsibilities
