About The Position

To assist in providing a well-organized, smoothly-functioning school environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resources. This list represents the essential tasks performed by the position. These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Employees will be required to perform other duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Maintains and respects confidentiality of all information acquired. Prepares classroom activities under the supervision of the certified employee. Works in tandem with the certified teacher of physical education to introduce and supervise approved physical activities Assists individual students in need of special attention. Assists in preparing class equipment, materials, etc., as directed by the PE teachers. Assists in duties relating to supervision of student activities in any area on school campus where students are present as assigned by the principal. Operates office, audio/visual, and technology equipment as assigned by the PE teachers. Attends required professional development programs. Performs all other duties as may be assigned for the benefit of school programs. School days and hours per year as designated in a one-year work agreement. Salary to be established with the Board. Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Aptitude for the work to be performed
  • Work history of good attendance, dependability, and punctuality
  • Ability to work effectively without close supervision
  • Ability to follow directions effectively
  • Effective communication skills with children and adults
  • Demonstrated computer skills appropriate for the position
  • Ability to pass the requisite assessment.
  • Alternative to the above qualifications as the Governing Board finds appropriate and acceptable.
