About The Position

PARAPROFESSIONAL – SPECIAL EDUCATION 2025-2026 School Year Intermediate School, Grades 3-5 PRIMARY PURPOSE Provide instructional, psychological and physical support to students with and without disabilities in an inclusion and pull-out setting under the supervision of the special education teacher and classroom teachers. Provide personal care as identified in the applicable student’s IEP. Perform other SHARS duties as assigned. Students assigned to this program are in need of additional behavioral, physical and/or academic support.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED, some college is preferred
  • Proficient with basic core content academia
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise patience, compassion and consistency under stress
