About The Position

Health Teach Para’s provides basic, routine patient/student care according to District guidelines and under the supervision of, and as authorized by, designated medical personnel. The salary listed reflects the 2025–2026 school year. Salaries for the 2026–2027 school year are typically finalized and released mid-summer, with an effective date of August 1. Requirements

  • May be required to have a Colorado Driver’s license and proof of insurability to meet mileage reimbursement requirements
  • Successful completion of Health Office Support Training, provided by the District.
  • Follows GBEBB-R (Dress Code for Non Teaching Staff) District policy

Responsibilities

  • Administers basic first aid treatment for routine injuries (e.g., minor cuts and abrasions, bumps, sprains, bruises) and prescribed medication, under supervision and as authorized by designated medical personnel.
  • Assists with routine student health screenings (e.g., hearing, vision, scoliosis).
  • Reinforces and tutors students on health, safety and hygiene, as directed.
  • Maintains a current basic knowledge of health care issues.
  • Performs inventory and recommends health care supply purchases to ensure the proper care and treatment of sick and injured students.
  • Monitors and updates student immunization records and identifies and obtains missing student immunization records.
  • Communicates and coordinates with students and parents about routine health issues.
  • Monitors students at assigned site and reinforces positive student behaviors and related administration policies and rules.
