About The Position

The Paraprofessional position at CRCC involves providing essential support to children with special needs in a licensed childcare environment. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience working in a licensed childcare center.
• Ability to adhere to work schedules and demonstrate flexibility.
• Successful completion of Personal Care Aide training as required by regulations.
• Completion of Positive Behavioral Supports and Crisis Intervention training provided by CRCC.
• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds and practice two-person lifting for heavier clients.
• Must meet health status and clearance requirements as per agency conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children with medical complexities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet parents and guests upon arrival.
• Communicate daily with parents regarding their child's activities.
• Support parents in their child-rearing efforts and encourage their input.
• Assist with the daily care needs of clients as outlined in their Plan of Care (POC).
• Document daily activities and personal care provided for each client.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and encourage independence.
• Follow universal precaution practices to ensure safety and hygiene.
• Adhere to regulations set by Nebraska Child Care Licensing and Children's Day Health Services Regulations.
