About The Position

The Paraprofessional will effectively implement engaging academic enrichment activities for students of our Reaching Higher Summer & Afterschool Program at: Washington Woods Middle School, Holt, MI 48842 - Working with students in 5th & 6th Grades Program runs Monday through Thursday, working 2.5 hours per day. (You would work whichever days work best for your schedule)

Requirements

High school diploma/GED.
Demonstrated knowledge of youth.
At least 2 years experience working with youth in a structured program setting.
Shall be a person of good character who possesses the health, emotional stability, maturity and strength to carry out assigned duties.

Responsibilities

Engage and assist students during academic enrichment activities.
Assist youth with homework and provide support for individualized tutoring.
Manage students in a safe and productive way.
Conduct yourself in a manner to serve as a mentor and role model.
Cultivates positive relationships with students, families, and fellow staff.
Attends all mandatory meetings and completes all paperwork as required.
Participates in 18 hours of professional development per year that meets licensing requirements.
Performs duties in a manner that ensures compliance with Child Day Care Licensing rules and regulations.
Ensures program operates in a way that follows industry quality standards and in accordance with the grant.
Performs other duties as assigned.
