About The Position
The Paraprofessional for Special Education in Pre-K will provide support to the instructional program within an assigned classroom, specifically assisting in the supervision, care, and instruction of special needs students. This role involves implementing plans for instruction, monitoring student behavior during non-classroom time, and attending Individual Education Program (IEP) meetings. The position requires a Paraprofessional Educator certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) and a high school diploma or equivalent, along with passing the Praxis Parapro Assessment or the GACE Parapro Assessment. Experience in a licensed child care environment is preferred.
