About The Position

Superior Ambulance Service is seeking Paramedics (EMT-P) for multiple locations including Oshkosh, Kaukauna, Fond Du Lac, Menomonee Falls, Green Bay, Fitchburg, Milwaukee, Mount Pleasant, Janesville, Oak Creek, and Elkhorn. Established in 1959, Superior Ambulance Service is the largest independent, locally owned, and operated emergency medical services provider in the Midwest, employing over 2,500 licensed EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses, and operating a fleet of more than 500 ambulances across several states. Paramedics are responsible for providing safe transportation and quality medical care to sick and injured individuals in accordance with state EMS regulations, ensuring the highest quality care in emergencies and scheduled medical transports.

Requirements

• EMT-P National Registry and/or current state license (or pending).
• Ability to provide medical care at the EMT or Paramedic level while safely transporting patients.
• Possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle in various conditions, including daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather.
• Pass a pre-employment interview including a physical and lifting examination and a drug screening.
• Attend company provided training and driving course.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate patient care as stipulated in their training as a Paramedic.
• Provide safe transportation, including accurately discerning street names through map reading and correctly distinguishing house numbers and business locations.
• Assess a patient and accurately convey the condition to other medical professionals.
• Provide an accurate written report describing a patient's condition, medical history, and the treatment provided.
• Provide appropriate documentation for billing information.
• Maintain the vehicle in sanitary condition and monitor all fluid levels and gauges.
