About The Position

MedQuest Imaging is seeking a Paramedic for our outpatient center in Columbia, SC. In this role, you will support patients during MRI, CT, and X‑ray procedures and respond to emergent situations, including contrast reactions. This position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.

Requirements

  • Paramedic License
  • Must have CPR certification
  • Must be ACLS certified
  • Must be PALS certified
  • Proficient in obtaining patient vitals to include O2Sat, blood pressure, respiratory rate, heart rate (pulse), body temperature
  • Complete company approved orientation and contrast reaction training
  • 2 –5 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Ability to respond to emergency situations and make decisions in conjunction with the radiologists.
  • Triage patients and assist in determining medical problems, administer IV’s and medications through radiologists' orders.
  • Initiates and maintains intravenous lines, administers fluids and medications as directed.
  • Performs pre-physician exams questionnaire for radiologist, collaborate with providers.
  • Assist the patient in completing paperwork.
  • Obtain medical history from the patient.
  • Assist the technologist in diagnostic environment to include CT, MRI and US
  • Assist with quality and safety metrics.
  • Research availability and obtain reports and films requested by Radiologist.
  • Serve as liaison between the technologist and Radiologist.
