The Paramedic provides safe and effective care for patient(s) within the scope of practice, in accordance with physician's orders, established standards and administrative policies, as part of the health care team. The Hospital Inpatient Paramedic also: Functions under the direction of the hospital based Medical Director, who will be the Paramedic Medical Director. Follows the Medical Director's determined scope of practice for the Paramedic within the Acts Allowed specified by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Be on a health care team that decides the patient care interventions. Provides quality of care and service to meet the healthcare needs of patients and their families.
