About The Position

Lumexa Imaging, one of the country's largest providers of outpatient medical imaging with over 5,000 team members and more than 185 centers across 13 states, is seeking a full-time Paramedic for Gateway Diagnostic Imaging. This role is based onsite and involves facilitating contrast injections at multiple locations, including the center in Weatherford, TX. The Paramedic will be responsible for responding to adverse events such as contrast reactions or infiltrations, using Teams audio/video to alert the supervising radiologist for assessment and treatment instructions, including medication administration. The individual in this role is also responsible for calling 911 when necessary. Prior to onsite coverage, the individual must provide documentation of Certificate of Liability Insurance and current medical license, complete an MRI Safety Screening form, and review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training. Requirements

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Previous experience as a certified EMT or Paramedic
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate contrast injections at multiple locations.
  • Immediately use Teams audio/video functionality to alert the supervising radiologist if confronted with an adverse event (contrast reaction, infiltration or situation that requires the radiologist).
  • Ensure 911 has been called when necessary.
  • Provide documentation of Certificate of Liability Insurance and current medical license prior to onsite coverage.
  • Complete MRI Safety Screening form prior to onsite coverage.
  • Review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training prior to onsite coverage.
