A Paramedic will be to the Crew Chief on duty and be responsible to the Ambulance Director while on duty in the hospital. Paramedic functioning in a pre-hospital setting is responsible for following physician orders regarding care of the patient(s). Paramedics that are Crew Chiefs are responsible for following physician’s standing orders and/or the Emergency Room Physician orders. The Paramedic is responsible on a shift to shift and on-call basis for the pre-hospital and general patient care provided under the Idaho EMS guidelines and hospital policy. The areas of responsibility are divided into four functional areas: Pre-hospital patient care and transport. Administrative assignments Educational/Developmental/Licensure responsibilities. Intra-hospital responsibilities, transport and other duties.
