About The Position

Alan B. Miller Medical Center opening in Spring 2026!
A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS’ growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services.
Paramedic, Full Time
Assumes responsibility and accountability for routine patient care, under the supervision of an RN, cleaning/stocking, transporting patients, and performs additional duties as requested, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), performing EKGs, initiates IV therapy, phlebotomy, and other duties as assigned. Greets patients that arrive at the ED with a smile and professional demeanor and performs QPI (quick registration) efficiently and accurately. Rounds on patients in the ED lobby and escalates patient needs to the RN. Demonstrates Service Excellence.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate from an accredited EMT program and approved paramedic program
• Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
• Ability to function effectively in high stress, fast paced environments
• Ability to manage multiple patients and shifting priorities
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassion, resilience, and adaptability
• Current FL state Paramedic license
• Current American Heart Association BLS completion (current upon hire)

Responsibilities
