Opened an offsite 24 bed, 24/7 emergency room in Central Pasco to better serve the emergency health needs of residents in west and central Pasco. The role you'll contribute: Provides patients with support treatment, care, and evaluations prior to and during transportation.

Requirements

  • Graduated from a Paramedic program.
  • One year of medical emergency experience.
  • American Heart - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • American Heart - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Required
  • Driver's License (DL) Valid Class E State Drivers License (or comparable state license), Required or
  • Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and driving record in accordance with facility policy. Required
  • Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) Required or
  • Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) Required
  • Paramedic license from the respective state board and/or respective state equivalent. Required

Responsibilities

  • Provides primary patient care activities on transports approved to be at the ALS level by the EMS Medical Director.
  • Adheres to department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensures patient documentation is accurate, complete and is in compliance at all times.
  • Completes medication, supplies and equipment inventories each shift, restocking as needed.Completes and submits logs as per department protocol.
  • Operates emergency vehicles safely in a variety of weather and emergent conditions in accordance to established safety standards. Effectively communicates delays and updates to dispatch. Immediately reports any damage or vehicle issues to the supervisor.
