Working as a team, respond, treat, and react quickly and calmly to emergency and
non-emergency situations to provide efficient and immediate, advanced and basic
life support, care to the ill and injured. Ensure that during a shift that the
assigned unit is properly equipped, stocked, and prepared to respond to a single
or multiple patient incidents. Ensure that during a shift that the assigned unit

patient incidents. Be responsible for schedules and coverage if other personnel
are not available to cover a shift. Shift work requires a mixture of days,
nights, and twenty-four-hour coverage to ensure adequate coverage for the
service. Harris EMS area of operation including patient's houses,
infrastructures, hospitals, and long-term care facilities

The duties described herein are minimum standards and may be modified to meet
the changing needs of Harris Health System at any time.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
• Current North Carolina Paramedic, National Registry Preferred.
• Two years’ experience as a full time Paramedic desired
• AHA, ARC, ASHI/HSI CPR
• AHA, ARC, ASHI/HSI ACLS/ALS
• AHA, ARC, ASHI/HSI PALS, or PEPP
• BTLS/PHTLS/ITLS/TECC or TCCC , acquire within 6 months, then maintain thereafter
