About The Position

Retention Bonus Allotment: Paramedic: $10,000 Paramedic with IBSC: $12,000 Eligibility: All eligible recipients must be hired between 01/01/2026 and 03/01/2026. Recipients must start employment within 30 days of signing their offer to qualify. Job Types : Full-time, Part-time Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 36 - 48 per week Schedule Options: - 12-hour shift, 13.5-hour shifts, Day Shifts, Night Shifts - School-Friendly Schedules (M/W/F & T/Th/S), 2-2-3s - Full-time, Part-time (36-48 hours/week) Call Types: - Emergent and non-emergent IFTs - Critical care transfers, discharges, SNF emergencies Equipment: - PowerPro XT cots, LP-15s, Sapphire IV Pumps, and Ventec VOCSN Ventilator - Vapotherm for high flow nasal cannula - Video laryngoscopy, iGel Fleet: - Ford Transits & Dodge Promasters with performance-load - 2 type three units with power-load Responsibilities: - Administer emergency medical care and first aid - Safe Ambulance operation to locations as directed - Coordinate with first responders and medical staff - Assess and prioritize patient treatment - Immobilize and transport patients safely - Operate life support and diagnostic equipment - Maintain documentation and reports (ePCR software) - Sanitize ambulance and equipment post-transport - Maintain vehicle and notify of equipment malfunctions - Adhere to medical protocols, health, and safety standards - Continuous training and skill enhancement Competencies: - Calm and decisive in adverse conditions - Adaptable with strong focus in clinical acuity - Proficient in medical equipment use - Compassionate, with strong critical thinking - Excellent communication skills Requirements: - High school diploma or GED - Texas EMT Paramedic certification - ACLS and BLS certifications -PALS certification within 90 days of hire - Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record Physical Demands: - Lift/carry up to 150 pounds (300 with assistance) - Bend, stoop, climb, and crawl across uneven terrain - Handle high-stress situations with flashing lights, loud noises, extreme temperatures, low light, or confined spaces Supervisory Role: - There is no supervisory responsibility in this role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Texas EMT Paramedic certification
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • PALS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record
