About The Position

We are seeking a Paramedic , sometimes referred to as our Emergency Care Technician (ECT) , Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech ) or Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech) . A Paramedic who will assist with tasks like starting IVs, performing EKGs, monitoring vital signs, and supporting airway management. The Paramedic play a key role in trauma care, CPR, and patient transport, working closely with nurses and physicians during emergencies. The Paramedic will use many of their field skills, who will always perform under hospital protocols and supervision. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
  • Basic EMT Training or E.R. experience required.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, EKG acquisition, and continuous vital signs monitoring under supervision
  • Assist with airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and support during advanced airway procedures and resuscitation efforts
  • Provide wound care, apply splints, assist with suturing, and respond as part of the team during medical emergencies
  • Support patient flow by transporting patients to diagnostic areas or inpatient units and assisting with room turnover and preparation
  • Maintain clinical readiness by stocking essential supplies and performing point-of-care testing as permitted by our hospital policy
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and EMS personnel to support trauma care, high-acuity patient management, and assist with clinical procedures and transitions of care
