About The Position

We are currently hiring full-time Paramedics to join our Ground Operations team and provide advanced life support care across interfacility transport services and 911 response coverage . We are seeking Paramedics to staff ambulance operations in a mission-driven organization committed to clinical excellence, safety, and compassionate service to our community. Position Overview This Paramedic role will primarily support a Transport Only function , with scheduled rotation into 911 response , allowing Paramedics to rotate based on operational needs while maintaining full ALS scope of practice. Schedule & Staffing Model Full-time, 3/4 schedule (3 days one week, 4 days the next) 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. shifts Ambulance stationed at the Emergency Department from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Rotating Sundays assigned to 911 response When not stationed at the ED, Paramedics assist with 911 calls Anticipated start date: late March / early April Transport Only Responsibilities Safely and efficiently transport patients between healthcare facilities for scheduled or urgent interfacility transfers Provide advanced life support care during transport as indicated by patient condition, transfer orders, and scope of practice Monitor patient condition throughout transport and promptly report and respond to changes Administer approved medications and perform interventions per protocols and transfer orders Ensure patients and equipment are properly secured during transport Communicate effectively with sending and receiving facilities and provide clear, accurate patient handoff reports Coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely and efficient transfers Complete all required transfer documentation and electronic patient care reports accurately and on time Perform routine equipment checks and ensure transport vehicles are clean, stocked, and operational before and after transfers Represent the organization professionally and provide calm, compassionate reassurance to patients and families Qualifications & Requirements Education Associate’s Degree in Paramedicine or equivalent education and experience required to obtain an Oregon Paramedic License , Transitional Paramedic License, or OHA Reciprocity Licensure & Certifications (Required) Current Oregon Paramedic License , Transitional Paramedic License, or OHA Reciprocity eligibility Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) certification (or Transitional / Reciprocity eligible) Valid Oregon Driver’s License Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS or PEPP certifications Additional Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Must meet company driving record and insurance requirements Successful completion of pre-employment and annual Paramedic physical exams and functional testing How to apply: Apply online at: www.mercyflights.com . Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Paramedicine or equivalent education and experience required to obtain an Oregon Paramedic License , Transitional Paramedic License, or OHA Reciprocity
  • Current Oregon Paramedic License , Transitional Paramedic License, or OHA Reciprocity eligibility
  • Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) certification (or Transitional / Reciprocity eligible)
  • Valid Oregon Driver’s License
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS or PEPP certifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must meet company driving record and insurance requirements
