About The Position

The Paramedic Supervisor plans, directs, conducts, and evaluates daily operational activities of the EMS department, ensuring smooth operations and the provision of high-quality emergency medical services. This role involves ensuring adequate staffing, fostering continuous learning, promoting staff well-being, participating in county EMS boards, responding to emergency requests, assisting nursing personnel, overseeing patient care coordination, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, implementing quality assurance measures, and engaging in community outreach.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalency (Required).
  • Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program with a current State of Ohio license (Required).
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (Required).
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record permitting insurability under the hospital’s insurance (Required).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competence in all aspects of emergency pre-hospital care.
  • Familiarity with the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Paramedic instructor certification (Preferred).
  • Six years as a field paramedic and Emergency Department experience (Preferred).
  • EMT Instructor experience (Preferred).
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience (Preferred).
