The ER Paramedic is a specially trained bedside caregiver who assists the professional nursing staff in performing routine care, performs specialized technical skills, reports any unusual incident or findings, and always maintains patient safety to a group of patients for a designated time period. ED Paramedic provides care in accordance with standards and procedures of the hospital and works under the direct supervision of a physician.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Current Paramedic Certification.
• One year acute care hospital experience or one year experience as an EMT/Paramedic on an ambulance crew or Patient Care Technician.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications through any ILCOR provided courses.
• Must possess good physical health.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
