About the position
Aspirus MedEvac in Woodruff, WI is seeking a PARAMEDIC MEDEVAC to join our team! Under the direction and supervision of the Manager - MedEvac and/or their designee, the 911 Paramedic or Interfacility Transport (IFT) Paramedic position is responsible for providing safe, comprehensive care to critically ill and/or injured patients of all ages. Care is provided in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transports by understanding and applying the specialized principles and techniques of transport paramedic practice, emergency procedures and diagnostics. Aspirus MedEvac medical transportation service provides 24-hour emergency air and ground medical transport for critically ill and injured individuals of North Central Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Responsibilities
- Provide safe, comprehensive care to critically ill and/or injured patients of all ages.
- Apply specialized principles and techniques of transport paramedic practice.
- Perform emergency procedures and diagnostics in pre-hospital settings.
- Work as part of a team with Critical Care Paramedics, Registered Nurses, and EMTs.
Requirements
- Knowledge of emergency patient care standards and practices acquired through completion of an accredited Paramedic program.
- Preferred a minimum of 1-year current field experience in a busy 911/pre-hospital service for ground critical care transport and intercepts.
- Possesses and maintains WI and MI Paramedic licenses.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in air medical transport.
- Additional certifications in emergency medical services.
