About The Position

The primary job is to function as a Paramedic conducting patient care from an ambulance. The position is responsible for the daily supervision of the EMS field operations in the absence of senior management, ensuring adequate zone coverage, compliance, and serving as AmeriPro EMS’ liaison with outside responding agencies and personnel. The role includes patient care, supervising field operation employees, ensuring compliance with policies, and preparing reports on various incidents. The Paramedic will also manage day-to-day scheduling needs and respond to emergency calls, coordinating ambulance transport during Mass Casualty Incidents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the EMS field preferred.
  • State specific Paramedic license in good standing / current NREMT certification if required by state.
  • Current certifications CPR: BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS.
  • Valid state specific Drivers’ license.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ventilator certified every three (3) years.
  • Successful completion of a written and practical exam.
  • FEMA IS certs: (IS-100; IS-200; IS-700; IS-800).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working as a Paramedic or in a similar medical role.
  • Additional certification or advanced training in emergency services: AMLS, PHTLS, and/or ATLS training.
  • Technology proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient care from an ambulance.
  • Supervise day-to-day field operation employees in the absence of senior management.
  • Ensure field employees have the required equipment to perform their duties.
  • Serve as liaison for field staff to other departments.
  • Prepare reports involving mechanical breakdowns, accident investigations, and daily shift activities.
  • Ensure adherence to AmeriPro EMS’ policies and Patient Care Protocols.
  • Assist in evaluating employee performance and maintain attendance records.
  • Monitor deployment and efficiency of the established system.
  • Manage day-to-day short term scheduling needs.
  • Ensure daily duties such as truck cleaning and station duties are performed.
  • Complete daily reports detailing shift activities.
  • Provide guidance and training for new employees and students.
  • Respond to emergency calls and coordinate ambulance transport during Mass Casualty Incidents.
