As a PRN Paramedic/EMT-B, you will deliver holistic care, including clinical interventions, service coordination, and patient/family education. You will provide quality care to patients of all ages, meeting their diverse needs with empathy and respect, and perform various direct and indirect patient care duties to support their health journey. The role emphasizes excellence and customer-centricity, contributing to a seamless healthcare experience.

Requirements

  • Valid Iowa Advanced EMT or Paramedic Certification
  • Maintain ongoing education and certifications from the IDPH Bureau of EMS
  • Maintain Basic Life Support certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (paramedic)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (paramedic) upon hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (paramedic) certification within 1 year of hire
  • Current Iowa Driver’s License
  • Clinical knowledge necessary to competently perform quality patient care duties as defined in job responsibilities and as appropriate for level of certification
  • Able to read, write, and follow written or oral instructions
  • Maintain knowledge and skills in all areas within scope of practice
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills
  • Display a high degree of empathy, tact, and kindness toward others
  • Ability to communicate well and work effectively with others
  • Be a team player
  • National Registry Advanced EMT/Paramedic Certification
  • Post-offer, pre-employment fit-for-duty assessment required
  • Influenza vaccination required
