The Paramedic will be able to provide quality care to patients under the direction of the Medical Director in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of SDMC . Reports to the charge nurse for shift assignments and direction of shift duties assigned. Each RN decides on a case-by-case basis what nursing tasks may be delegated to the unlicensed personnel in accordance with Rule 224 (relating to RN delegation in acute care settings or for patients with acute conditions). St. David's Medical Center , part of St. David's HealthCare, is a comprehensive medical facility with three locations: St. David's Medical Center, Heart Hospital of Austin , and St. David's Georgetown Hospital . Requirements

Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
Associate Degree, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree
(EMT-State) Emergency Medical Technician, or Paramedic
